Welcome to ShopTheRoom.ai ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application ("App") and website ("Site").

By using ShopTheRoom.ai, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Email address when you create an account or sign in via email OTP. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• Photos you upload: Room photos you choose to upload for AI redesign. These are stored securely in our private cloud storage.
• Design history: Your past AI-generated room designs, associated style preferences, and product recommendations.
• Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used, screen views, and session duration.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics.

We use your information for the following purposes:

• AI processing: Your room photos are sent to Replicate (an AI infrastructure provider) to generate redesigned room images, and to Google Gemini (Google's AI service) to identify items in the redesigned images.
• Product matching: Identified items are searched via the eBay API to find real products you can purchase.
• Account management: To create and manage your account, authenticate you, and provide customer support.
• Service improvement: Anonymized usage data helps us improve the App.
• Communications: To send transactional emails (e.g., authentication codes). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We work with the following third-party providers who may process your data:

• Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage. Your account data and uploaded photos are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Replicate: AI image generation. Your room photo is transmitted to Replicate's servers to generate the redesigned image.
• Google Gemini (Google LLC): AI vision to identify items in redesigned images.
• eBay: Product search API to find shoppable items. Your searches are conducted via eBay's Browse API.
• Google (Sign-In): If you use Google Sign-In, Google authenticates your identity.

ShopTheRoom.ai participates in affiliate programs including the eBay Partner Network. When you click on a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps us keep the app free for everyone. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products are recommended — all products are sourced algorithmically based on the AI-identified items in your design.

Photos you upload are stored privately in our secure cloud storage, accessible only to you and our AI processing pipeline:

• Original room photos are stored under your unique user ID and are not accessible to other users.
• AI-generated redesign images are stored in a separate bucket and associated with your account.
• All photos and associated designs are permanently deleted when you delete your account.
• You may delete individual designs (and their associated images) at any time from within the App.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR and CCPA):

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data, including uploaded photos.
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to certain uses of your data.
• Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage, row-level security policies on our database, and strict access controls on storage buckets. No system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ShopTheRoom.ai is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the App. Your continued use of ShopTheRoom.ai after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
